A contact lens that’s a video recorder

Sony and Sanyo have applied for patents that describe a pair of lenses with an inbuilt video recorder that lets you record what you see with autofocus, exposure and aperture adjustment as well as zooming to optimize the quality of the video. Instead of recording a continuous stream, the Sony contact lens would allow you to control filming with the blink of an eye. Sensors would measure eyelid closure time, allowing the lens to differentiate between an average blink and extended blink for control. Google has already invented a contact lens that can be powered by the sun.
