PayPress is a new platform that plans to connect startups to reporters who are interested in earning extra money. The startups select the publication they’d like to be featured in and pay on the platform. Paypress say they have already signed up over 50 publications like the Huff Post. This service could disrupt the PR agency business in terms of its ability to charge new clients. It could also be very attractive to journalists as PR agencies haven’t traditionally paid them.
